How to Apply

Registration open December 2 through January 27* for the 2017 NASPAA Batten Student Simulation Competition!

Spaces at the competition are limited!  Students will be accepted to participate on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, and the number of participants from each school is restricted.

Note: the competition is only open to graduate students studying at NASPAA member schools. If you are not a member school, please see our courtesy member policy.

Registration instructions:

  1. Click on the Student Registration Form to the right
  2. Follow the instruction and enter your name, contact information, and basic details
  3. Enter your top 2 preferences for competition site
Note: Students are expected to compete at one of the two geographically closest sites
  4. Student will receive a confirmation email

Students that were nominated by their Dean, Program Director, or Pi Alpha Alpha Advisor are guaranteed entry. Additional students per school will be selected as space at the host site allows. Students will be notified of their status and competition site late January/early February and are expected to immediately make travel arrangements.

Registration closes Friday, January 27, 2017*.

While there is no registration fee, students need to travel to the closest regional site to complete. NASPAA expects students to request travel funding from their home institutions, but if the school is unable to cover these costs, NASPAA has a small pool of funds to defray travel costs. Access NASPAA Travel Reimbursement Guidelines here.

Students will receive specific details about the competition a couple days prior and are expected to read them in advance of the competition.

If, after registering, you are no longer available to participate, please withdraw by emailing competition@naspaa.org.

*The registration deadline for Bogota is February 10th.
